What if anyone could have their own meeting hall, complete with lawn for larger events?

A series of structures surround a turf area. One structure is open to the sky and can be used as a chapel, performing arts stage, or other use. The buildings can be rented out to different groups, or can all become part of a festival where outside activities could take place on the lawn while food, exhibits and other activities could happen in the buildings.

Part of a concept for a City of Pleasanton design competition. The rest of the concept was mostly park, botanic garden, flood control and sports fields.

Hopefully someone, somewhere will build something like this, because it would be really sweet. Imagine a taiko festival with drummers on the lawn, spectators all around, and community groups serving wonderful food. Or a Hispanic festival with dancers, mariachis, and each structure serving food from a different region.
